I’m Captain Ty Konkle and I have had a passion for fishing since I was a child... and especially catfish. I grew up in Arizona and learned to fish in small rivers and lakes. Since early on, my favorite fish is the flathead catfish. I didn't catch my first one until I moved to Tennessee in 2008. From that point I have become a student of all thing catfish and the Lord has blessed with a great treasure of superb fishing trips since.

I fish an 18-foot Bayhawk Center Console, outfitted with a 115hp Suzuki 4-stroke outboard. It can comfortably hold 2 people plus myself, but I will take up to three passengers. We are outfitted with an Minn Kota i-Pilot trolling motor and the latest Humminbird Helix Sonar.

The phrase “That’s why its called fishing, not catching!” is a correct phrase. Every day is different. Big fish are always sought after, and although many are caught, they are not always found. There are many ever changing conditions such as wind, current, sky conditions, barometric pressure, water clarity, water temperature and other things that add to the challenge! When you book a trip, we don’t make a final call on where we will fish until just before the trip so that the best decision possible can be made based on conditions.

But I would be proud for you to
call upon Scenic City Fishing so we can try and catch you the "Fish of a Lifetime!"
