Once the most maligned fish in Southern waters, trophy catfishing is the "new wave" on the Tennessee River. Monster blue cats, golden channel cats and fierce flatheads rule the roost in area waters.
The first time you hook one you might think you've snagged the bottom. But when the bottom begins to swim away and you realize you are joined at the hip with a river monster, you might wonder if this is really fun. Trust us ... it is!
Our blue catfish, the most common, average 5 - 10 pounds. But we regularly boat "trophy catfish" between 20 pounds and 80 pounds each. We've even had one record-breaker.
